How to find IMG ( SPRO ) transactions in SAP

" Hello World "... this is what we read when we write and execute our first programme in ABAP .

Well this is my  " Hello World " to the world of BLOGS .

I was just wondering how should i get started and eventually concluded that i should start with some information which i feel should be helpful to SAP Community .

It is generally observed for performing configuration or IMG settings we take the route of SPRO -  ( SAP Project Reference Object ).

Executing the T Code - SPRO.

After Execution of the transaction and on successful pass through of authorization objects , following screen would appear :
Select the Option SAP Reference IMG.

After selecting the option "SAP Reference IMG "  now we would be able to navigate to the specific module in which we are expecting to make changes in the IMG .
Navigating to the specific node for changing the IMG

Now click on the specific node where you want to make changes and perform the same .

Over a period of time , one would realize that it would have been better to have a T code for the activity rather than to navigate every time through SPRO . Well Sounds interesting but is it possible ?

" Hmm.,.. Do IMG activities have T Codes attached to them ? "

The simple answer to the same would be 'YES' , excited then read on ......

It is possible to view the T codes that are attached to an IMG object in the IMG navigation tree , but the question then would be how do i view it ? Have a look at the attached screen shot ...

How to activate the option ?

Select the Option IMG Activity as shown above and you would be able to view some additional details against the IMG object .

Additional Details.
What does that mean ???

Well now you will see that the IMG object is showing some additional details , the last 4 letters of information is the T code for direct execution of the IMG activity .

Wow ... isint it something new that you have learned , i too was surprised when i saw it for the first time .

This was my first BLOG , so wanted to share some basic info .  A lot to come in next BLOGS...

Do share your views on the same .... looking forward ....

Cheers ,
